Churchfield was contracted by Structuretone to deliver full painting and decorating services for Amazon’s new 170,000 sq ft offices on Charlemont Street, Dublin. The project scope included the application of intumescent topcoats to castellated steel beams, painting metal decks and ceiling services across all floors, and executing intricate multi-coloured split datum wall designs throughout the building. The project commenced in June 2021 and was completed in May 2022.

This large-scale fit-out began from a shell-and-core state and required an exceptionally high standard of finish across a vast space. A key challenge involved executing complex multicoloured wall schemes, where colours wrapped around adjoining walls and had to align with precision. Each internal office and open-plan area needed to be marked out using laser levels. Tight city-centre logistics, high-level access requirements, and the need to coordinate closely with multiple other trades added to the complexity.

Churchfield worked closely with the site team and client programme, holding weekly coordination meetings to plan the upcoming scope of work. Laser levels were used to achieve flawless alignment on all split datum designs. Mobile towers were employed to access ceiling areas up to 6 metres high, where ceiling services and steel beams were coated with specialist intumescent topcoat. To reduce disruption and maintain workflow, shift work was introduced during the final phase to allow parallel activity from other trades.

The Amazon Charlemont Street project was delivered on time and within budget, with a finish that met the client’s high expectations. The detailed multicoloured wall painting and precise ceiling finishes were standout elements of the job. The client expressed satisfaction with both the quality and professionalism of the service provided. This project demonstrates Churchfield’s ability to manage scale, complexity, and coordination under demanding conditions—delivering results that align with the standards of one of the world's leading tech companies.
